Zach's trip to Acadia with friends

Zach, Warren, and Kyle ( Justin Horsman's brother or Bethany's future brother-in-law) went biking in Acadia National Park and had a great time.

Maine is so beautiful! I just love it here especially in the summer.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

Thank you Dad for all that you have done for us. Thank you for your godly example and for your love for the Lord, for Mom, and for us kids! Thank you for the late night talks, for challenging us to dig deep into God's Word. You have taught us invaluable lessons that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We love you Dad!

The long awaited update!

Hello All,
Sorry it has taken so long to update our blog with pictures from our trip. Bethany's computer was in the shop and then we had some trouble with the CD's that our pictures were burned onto...but finally the the long awaited has arrived!
Up until now Bethany has been the one posting but for this section I (Leigha) am the one "narrating." :-) I haven't done much with posting on the blog before so I have yet to figure out how to change the name of the person who is blogging. Perhaps some of you more experienced ones can let me in on the secret! Anywho....I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Our Trip to Asia begins...

The Joy's of traveling!

Which suitcase is mine???

We stayed in Myanmar for 2 months

We stayed in Yangon and also visited Chaung Tha Beach

Dad came with us for the first 2 weeks

Dad had the opportunity to teach at a Bible college

The Students were so grateful for the
teaching...they seemed to eat it right up!

Bethany did an awesome job cooking for all 13 of us and also helping out by coloring pictures for the Bible Story books!

Drying dishes...because of the water condition we had to make sure we got every drop of water. Believe me...it can take a loooong time to dry dishes for 13 people!

Writing home...

Working on the Falam NT

I had the privilege of working with the Falam translator, Uncle Timothy

Rachelle and Eunice were a great help...

Towards the end of our time in Myanmar we were under a real time crunch to finish the Falam NT. There were so many lists of things to check! It was a long and tedious process but very rewarding in the end!

Yeah We did it!!!

My wonderful friends/family suprised me with flowers and a yummy cake after completing the 5 month project of editing the Falam NT...thanks guys!

Taking an excursion to Chaung Tha Beach...

We had to drive through the hills of Myanmar...there were some amazing sights!

Wow!! We were right on the Indian Ocean. It was sooo salty!

We bought these funny grass hats to wear on the beach!

On the Beach

It was just a little windy that day!

Chaung Tha

We had to walk part way to church on Sunday

Dad and Uncle Ross were asked to share something with the people

(In front of the church)

Pastor Win

Pastor Win has a tumor in his nose that the doctors say they can't operate on or he will bleed to death. They say it is just a matter of time before he goes home to be with the Lord. Until then he is zealously sharing the Gospel with everyone he can...he knows that his time is short. Please pray for him and his family.

Dad had the blessing of buying Pastor Win a new bike!

Justin (Bethany's finace) gave me money to surprise Bethany with roses from him on Valenitnes Day...
